A whole lot of stuff

So I was planning on getting all this stuff done this weekend – clean up the house, repack for Disney, do a bunch of laundry… did I get any of it done? No, not a bit.

Instead, I watched way too much “Say Yes to the Dress,” went a con, did a photoshoot, went to the Elmwood Twilight Tour, and did this:

So I’ll start with Saturday. I got into Galadriel and we headed downtown to Memphis Comic Expo. I hate it when cons are at Cook Convention Center because it’s a long drive down and awful parking, but the con made up for it, tons of artists and great art!

Once we’d made a lap around the floor we decided we were done and headed out. We were going to take some pics of Galadriel downtown, but a lot of it was blocked off, so we headed back towards home and ended up going over to Kevin’s house to shoot some pics over there. A few favs:

I found a halfling!

Kevin was the reflector boy, and I was constantly trying to lay my trains out nicely. Discovered I had a rip in a seam right down near the bottom back which was causing a lot of fraying and mess. Yikes!

After a quick nap and lunch, I headed out to meet Ash and Gabe to go to the Elmwood Costume Twilight Tour. I’ve always wanted to go to this and it was really good! It’s a tour of the cemetery, with actors portraying people who are buried there. They tell you their story as you come up to each of them. In between the actors you have volunteers who tell you some more of the history and interesting facts about the cemetery. It ended up being SUPER packed, so we had to wait for quite a while before our group got to start the walking tour. It was really neat. I didn’t take a ton of pics since the light was going. What I did take I threw into the Memphis Comic Expo album because I do what I want.
